Let me ask you a question: “Most of us believe that we have a free will, but is that truly so?” – Day 1 of Breathwork
Science only revealed recently in MRI researches, that six seconds before we can consciously make a choice our subconscious mind already decided for us. Thus we fall victim to our social, religious conditioning, the identity given to us by our parents, cultural training, traumas, etc. . Desires, fears, and impulses, a whole personal believe system keeps us from flowering. This is the reason why we endlessly keep on attracting the same kind of relationships, can´t achieve the economical success we deserve or don´t feel enough love in.
If we are ruled by the subconscious, then we have to unprogram and recondition it to attain liberty.
But how can we access the subconscious and create new, positive believes, that make us move into the right direction?
Luckily some believes can already be changed by altering thinking patterns. Our brain luckily has the quality of neuroplasticity. Meaning that all the things we do on a regular basis are memorized and integrated as structure of Neurons in the brain. Thinking in new, positive ways will over time overwrite old, negative thought patterns, so that they become our second nature. At that point we don´t have to make an effort any longer to think in that new way. A network of Neurons has replaced the old structures and is now working for us. So frequently asking the right kind of questions, like “why am I so lucky all the time” or “why do I always get what I want” (even if it is not our present reality) instead of “why do I never achieve what I want” or why am I so unhappy” will change our life to the better.
However there are stronger forces, working in the sublayers of our mind, that can´t be accessed through conscious efforts.
But how can we transform those?
First we must find out our core issue. For many people the core issue came into life when they had a traumatic childhood experience and weren´t able to face the pain it brought up. Thus they resisted it and instead of dissolving, the suppressed pain went deep into the subconscious mind and stayed there ever since as a negative belief.
The only way to let go from that, is by bringing the pain back, and this time by feeling and embracíng it fully. Most people however want to stay in their comfort zones and won´t allow their feelings to be felt, especially when they are triggering. Thus they stay small and never allow themselves to turn into the light they are. The thought of just being perfect as they are is too provoking and brings up a lot of resistance. This beautiful quote by
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously giv Marianne Williamsone other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Now we need to see what we dislike most in our parents, former lovers as well as ourselves. Funny enough results tend to show that all those are usually congruent. Once we can understand the motives of those character trades we don´t like, we usually at the same time understand the motives behind our own misled behaviour. Compassion, acceptance and even forgiveness might result. Finally, when we have found the substrate of their motives, one factor that connects them all, we write it down. This is now our core issue. A phrase representing the core issue might be as an example:
“ simply being who I am is not enough to be loved by others nor myself”
Next step: Flip it around and create a new, powerful affirmation, like:
“I love myself and I am loved simply by being who I am.”
This phrase now has to somehow reach our subconscious. One of the quickest and most effective ways is using it again and again during a breathwork session, meditation or when we get up and before we go to sleep. At those times our brains are working in a frequency which is linked to our subconscious. It is then highly receptive and new believes can be embeded.

Today´s program was intense and brought up amazing revelations.
In the morning we worked on finding our core issue – a challenging process, that required trust, honesty and courage.
Then in the afternoon we went into the breathwork, using the affirmations established in the morning class. I still get goosebumps thinking about the process. It was so powerful, that my body went into spasms and shivers. Now I feel very centred, light and as if a great opening had happened. Thanks to our beautiful workshop facilitators, Prema and Edward. I am very grateful.
